Our team doesn't design specifically for awards or external recognition. That's typically a poor way to build a high-converting website. Websites that are simple, clean and familiar are the ones that produce the best commerical results.

Every so often there's an overlap between a good-looking design and focused intent where we can show off our design skills. This was definitely the case for two websites we created in 2022; Bitmax and Complyant. Both of these sites are being considered for the Design Rush's 2022 web design awards.

Bitmax helps movie makers get published on large services like HBO, Apple TV and Hulu. We wanted to capture the feeling of going to the cinema with animated carousels, dark hues and a top-to-bottom light gradient.

Complyant is a service that helps businesses in the U.S. stay compliant with their tax obligations. While their site needed to be functional, we also wanted it to look cutting-edge and playful in a SaaS kind of way.

The awards will be drawn in about a month and we'll update when we know the news!
